Guess what? This week is the Memory Trends trade show in Las Vegas and American Crafts is there! So, if you're attending the conference, make sure you stop by our booth (#1506) and check out our newest products.
We also just got back from the Archiver's ScrapFest 2007 at the Mall of America in Minnesota. The classes were great and everyone had fun meeting and doing make & takes with all the scrapbookers at the fest.
As designers we consider it high priority to bring great design to the Scrapbook Community. But it's also nice to be recognized for our work by the Design Community. In April 2007, we were honored to win two Merit Awards and two Copper Ingot awards (they only give out 10 each year and we got two--for our product catalog and our A la Carte paper!) at the 2007 AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Artists) 100 Show for the Salt Lake area. The Ingot's just arrived so we thought we'd share!
Scrapbooking and card making go hand in hand, that's why we're thrilled to be a sponsor for World Card Making Day!
Here's what WCMD is all about (courtesy of the website):
WHAT World Card Making Day is a holiday especially for card makers around the world to: - Celebrate the creativity of handmade cards and the personal connection that they create between friends and family - Kick off (and get a head start on) the holiday card-making season WHEN The first Saturday of each October, kicking off the holiday card-making season, the most popular time for creating and sharing handmade greetings. WHO The card-making community worldwide, including hobbyists, beginning card makers, manufacturers of card-making products, retail sellers of products, educators, and press are invited to come together to celebrate this holiday and creative passion. WHY It is a day to connect with fellow card makers both near and far, to applaud the creativity that powers the craft, and to provide an opportunity for card makers to connect and find resources that will empower, inspire, and encourage them in their card making.
There's a lot of fun stuff on their site, so definitely check it out!
We just wanted to thank the uber-talented Cathy Zielske for the AC shout out on her blog. She used our new Metropolitan papers, a 6x6 Modern Album and our Daiquiri Thickers to make a super cute recipe book (that everyone needs to make...it's just that cool).
Check it out:
And thanks to Cathy for letting us use these pictures. Instructions can be found on her blog.
