We've got the spotlight shining on one of our fabulous new Design Team members this month - Amber Ulmer! Let's take some time to get to know this creative gal!
Name: Amber Ulmer
Hometown: Mt. Juliet, TN (20 mins East of Nashville)
Occupation: Professional Photographer & Mama & Wife
When I grow up I want to be... pretty
much right where I’m at, a photographer & mama.
If I had a million dollars I would... invest enough to live off of monthly,
grow our photography business, take plenty of vacations to the mountains
& tropical islands & enjoy life w/my growing family!
My favorite pair of shoes is... my black velour scrunchy high boots.
1980’s knock off.
What makes me laugh... Josephine & Josh and just having our family
time. It’s so much fun.
In my car...is a pile of CDs, my ring sling & moby wrap for Baby
Wearing, a step ladder for photo sessions & an air freshener that
needs to be replaced.
What I love the most about American Crafts is... I’m going to be like everyone else & say THICKERS! They just add the perfect amount of dimension. Also, I love how the papers are sooo “cut-up-able” since that’s kinda my “trademark”.
Supplies: Rooftop Garden (34328) - Metropolitan, Patisserie (34327) - Metropolitan, Bistro (34323) - Metropolitan, Boulevard (34324) - Metropolitan, Raspberry (71431) - Glitter Cardstock, White (71415) - Glitter Cardstock, Purkey White (43274) - Minimarks, White Chit Chat (42902) - Thickers, JFK CS 1 &2 (42480) - Remarks Stickers
Amber says: "I have always wanted to be a mother, like most little girls. Now that I have reached that time in my life, I truly feel I was made for this. Made to be a mama. Made to nurture. It’s hard to remember what life was like before Josephine in our lives. Nothing seems to measure up to the feeling of being a mother & parent. It’s amazing.
This is just the first of many “Mama” pages, I’m sure. I love the metropolitan line. I love the pink and orange color combo especially since I wanted that to be Josie’s “colors” for so long. I love the doodle aspect of this line too. I used my butterfly punch on the glitter cardstock. It was initially too thick to punch through. So I just peeled a layer off from underneath to make it thinner and it punched right through!"
And here's a little peek into her scrap space...
So fun getting to know you better, Amber. Thanks for sharing!

I also use a Beco baby carrier sometimes when I want to get him in and out of the carrrier more quickly (like short jaunts between the car and the store).
