Name: Katrina Simeck
Hometown: Colchester, VT
Occupation: Project Manager for a cosmetics manufacturer (we make lip gloss!)
If I had a million dollars I would... stop stressing about my daughter's college applications!
My dessert of choice is... flourless dark chocolate cake...with coffee, of course!
In my closet... the colors green, brown, and orange dominate
On my iPod... Owl City, the Valentine's Day soundtrack, Jer Coons, and Ingrid Michaelson
What I love most about American Crafts is... the fresh, clean lines...perfect for a simple girl like me! And I am hopelessly devoted to Thickers in every shape, color, and size.
Here's a peek into Katrina's happy scrap space...
I love the bright orange wall colors! Katrina also whipped up some cool Heat Wave cards to share...
Supplies: Notecards - white 4"x5.5" cards (71362), Heat Wave Kahuna
Kiwi paper (35116), Heat Wave Maverick Mango paper (35111),
Embellishments, Sandy (78032), Stickers, Surfboard Chipboard (42710) |
Luggage Tags - white cardstock (71273), Heat Wave Pretty Papaya paper
(35109), Stickers, Swell (42709)
Katrina says: "Summer is still a loooong way away for the northeast, but Spring Break is just around the corner! My kids will head to warmer climates with friends soon, so the Heat Wave collection is perfect for sending them off in style! I created these simple Heat Wave notecards so that they can easily drop me a "the weather is beautiful, wish you were here!" note. I also used badge holders to create bright & fun luggage tags to help them find their bags quickly at the airport."
So great getting to know you better, Katrina!

How can the ants survive? Surely they must contain at least some
water, which absorbs microwave energy, and is what makes microwave
cooking effective in most foods. Are they simply too small? They're
certainly tiny compared with the wavelength of the microwaves, which
is almost 5 inches.
