Happy Postmarked Wednesday! We have some awesome cards to share with you today using the Abode line from Design Team members Lory and Wendy Sue. Check them out...
Lory says: "Here is my card , I hope to inspire you just a
little to try the new products! Believe me the line is really
wonderful! Figure out how many very funny layouts and cards and
mini albums you can create with pictures about ordinary life:) Try try
try:) You will fall in love with this line! For this card I played with
many little pieces of paper, already cut pieces, perfect to make a
little background as I made:) Add a cool touch for the title with
chipboard buttons and flair and finish your card with a phrase from
remarks stickers sheet and two little hearts:) Sew a little on the
paper pieces. Invite you boyfriend or husband or simply a friend to have
dinner with you ;) Have fun girls and happy April!!!!!"
And a couple fabulous ones from Wendy Sue... Supplies: Chocolate 12x12 cardstock (71047) – AC Cardstock, White
12x12 cardstock (71081) – AC Cardstock, Roosevelt Way Paper (35071) –
Abode, Skyline Drive Paper (35078) – Abode, Spoon Phrases (42697)
Remarks Sheets, Knife Accents (42696) Remarks Sheets, Dimensional tabs
(61710) – This to That
Wendy Sue says: "I love the fun (punny) phrases on these stickers sheets – as soon as I saw them I knew I wanted to create a few cards to have on hand. This is the first one I made…that little cheese grater is the cutest thing ever! To make the card, I cut the grater off the sticker and placed the phrase in the corner. Next, I used my craft knife to cut out the piece around the handle, and “hung” the grater above the phrase. I had to add that cute little heart sticker too!"
Wendy Sue says: "Just last week, I noticed a moving truck being loaded up at the rental home 3 doors down – that means we will be getting new neighbors soon…and I’m ready for them! I thought the cute little label sticker with the houses was perfect for a little “welcome” card. As soon as I see a moving truck in the driveway, I’ll bake up a batch of cookies and deliver a welcome note to the newbies!"I love how they both used the Abode line in different ways! I think I'm going to go whip up some fun cards of my own now!

what a great idea for new neighbors
