Today Céline Navarro shows us how to create an altered book using The Classics line.
AC Supplies: Red Fern Paper (35313) - The Classics, Dorian Gray Paper (35306) - The Classics, Tenderness (78034) - Details, 12x12 Chocolate Cardstock (71047) - AC Cardstock
"I've always loved old books. Coming from the Mixed Media community, and avid reader since my early years, I've been attracted by books for a long time. I love altered books. I love to actually change the way the book looks and still keep the great feeling of the paper between your fingers. Needless to say, I found this old vintage book at a flea market here in my town, and I so wanted to create something special for my mom, just to let her know that I love her. I simply used gesso on the inside pages, so that she can alter it the way she wants (my mom's a scrapbooker too!), but let me show you an easy and creative way to alter a nice book like this one with your favorite AC products! The Classics collection is perfect to work with when you alter something."
I first glued a crocheted flower my mom made to the front cover.
I embossed a tag and glued it onto my crocheted flower.
Then I cut a banner and a heart from two different patterned papers and mounted them with brown cardstock so that you can actually see the designs and the colors of the papers better.
Add a felt Detail flower for a feminine touch.
Ta-da! It's the perfect gift for a loving mom :)

That is beautiful!! Thanks for sharing!
