"Last summer while fishing my littlest guy quickly lost interest. Instead he wanted to walk around exploring and kept saying, 'Let's go Momma!' I took his picture as we were heading off and used his words as the starting point. I don't get to use pink a lot so I punched some patterned paper clouds to go along with the sticker ones. I have a habit of sewing through stickers usually. So far my sewing machine hasn't seemed to mind."

"This card is so girly, something I rarely do! Here I have two stickers on top of one another, sewn down, with a sentiment generic enough (and cute enough) to use for any occasion. The bicycle was cut with my Silhouette using a Dear Lizzy Bicycle shape design and the ric rac made for a perfect 'road'."

"Next year we are going to homeschool our kindergardener part time. With that comes lots of ideas as to how to create a fun space for him to learn in. One thing I know he loves in his pre K class this year is the weather chart... a way the kids can learn about weather and change the arrow on a daily basis. I decided to create my own and used my die cut machine for some help with the shapes. By placing it on a canvas I am able to hang it in his room. It was fun picking the papers and stickers to coordinate with the weather - one of my favorite parts being the funky raindrop stickers."Supplies: Hike (42190) – Remarks, Path (42189) – Remarks, Pine Borders (53167) – Thickers, Decorative Tags (85534) – Bits, Sunrise Limeade (53179) – Thickers, Peachy Keen Variety Buttons (85541) – Elements, Squirrel (77250) – Patchems, Sparkle Paper (35410) – Hello Sunshine, Hidden Lake Paper (35361) – Campy Trails, Caribou Creek Paper (35351) – Campy Trails, Oak Point Paper (35364) – Campy Trails
"Last year was our first time using our camper so we took a little trip. Little being seven days. Lots of pictures were taken so I narrowed down a few favorites to include in this little mini. I created the base from a piece of cardboard I painted and misted. The stickers went on so smooth, and surprisingly, cardboard is really easy to sew through! A couple of papers were scored and stapled to create the inside pages, with lots of stickers and embellishments from the Campy Trails line."
How did you get started scrapbooking?
I had a friend tell me I should try scrapbooking and really I was uninterested. I thought people who spent hours scrapbooking were silly. Then I had my first son and decided I should maybe look more into it because I wanted a way to document his photos and everyday life. It really only took one trip into a scrapbook store and I was hooked. And I now eat my words because I am one of those self proclaimed “silly” people!
What would you say your scrapbooking “style” is?
This is a really hard question because I don't know. Someone tell me! Maybe a mix of random with clusters of embellies thrown in for good measure...?
What is your favorite technique?
For my projects they just don't seem complete without my sewing machine so that is always a guarantee. Also spray ink and I have become pretty good friends.
When do you find time to scrap?
Ha! Usually in small moments during the wee hours after everyone is asleep and the house is quiet. It is rare for me to scrap during the day and actually finish a layout in one sitting.
On average, how long does it take you to complete a project?
Most of the time I am thinking of a layout idea or sketch in my head during the day while folding laundry or doing dishes so that when I do have a chance to scrap that part is already planned. I am a self admitted slow scrapper. If I can crank one out in an hour I am happy. But really it is such a creative outlet for me, as well as a way to document our lives, that I am not concerned over quantity.
What is your favorite thing about American Crafts?
I love that American Crafts as a whole is a company that is always right on target with what's trendy in the scrapbooking world and offers a huge variety of products. My Thickers drawer is overflowing (I have yet to meet a Thicker I didn't like!) and I need a whole jar of the Confetti patterned buttons!

I love the layouts, especially "blue skies". I'm curious... what did you use for the lettering and die-cuts? Also wondering how you adhered the letters?
