"I am working on trying to play catch up on my daughter's monthly layouts and I thought the colors of these papers just went beautifully with these pictures! This layout is pretty simple in that it is just layers of papers (cut with punches and decorative scissors) that are just stacked one on top of another and then sewed down! This creates a lot of texture on what is actually a pretty flat page. A few brad clusters and a bow and it is done!"
Supplies: Delight Paper (35399) - Hello Sunshine, Leafy (89289) - Ribbon, Nighty Night (70016) - Flair, Lullaby Sunflower (42959) - Thickers, Li'l Tykes (42538) - Remarks
Supplies: Snake River Paper (35352) - Campy Trails, Thing of Beauty Paper (35370) - Peachy Keen, Gee Whiz Paper (35383) - Peachy Keen, Easy Peasy Paper (35382) - Peachy Keen, Good Golly Gee Paper (35375) - Peachy Keen, Gossamer Paper (35409) - Hello Sunshine, Peppy Paper (35405) - Hello Sunshine, Aruba Paper (35425) - Margarita, Hello Sunshine Metal Rimmed Tags (85546) - Bits, Nighty Night (70016) - Flair, Hardcover Aquatic (53138) - Thickers "I am like the worst card maker in the world so these two cards took me a long time to make!! Laugh! They are extremely simple and easy to do once you step back and look them over. The Blue Baby card is just a bunch of coordinating patterned papers punched with various sized circle punches and then all sewed down, with a simple title and a fun Flair pin for depth! The Pink Baby card is a little more complicated in that it has ribbon flowers. I had never made these kinds of flowers before so it was a new thing for me but turned out to be really easy! (The trick is to use a long stick pin while you roll it so that your whole thing doesn't come undone!)"
Supplies: Thing of Beauty Paper (35370) - Peachy Keen, Gee Whiz Paper (35383) - Peachy Keen, Easy Peasy Paper (35382) - Peachy Keen, Gossamer Paper (35409) - Hello Sunshine, Peppy Paper (35405) - Hello Sunshine, Splendor Paper (35401) - Hello Sunshine, Frankie Fudge Paper (35342) - Confetti, Hot Dog (89397) - Ribbon, Leafy (89289) - Ribbon, Peachy Keen Corduroy Brads (85538) - Elements, Dear Lizzy Enchanted Rose brads (85522) - Elements, Doll Waterfall (53169) - Thickers, Serenade Strawberry (53151) - Thickers, Regards Black (53004) - Thickers "For this layout I challenged myself to use more pictures and to do a two pager. These are two very crazy things for me, cause the most pictures I will put on a layout is three cause I just simply run out of room otherwise! So because of that the logical thing was to do a two pager, but that is also something that is not that common with me! I had a blast with this layout though. It is a lot more simple I normally do, but I wanted to keep it that way in order to keep the focus on the beautiful flowers! But to get little hints of color and texture, I used tiny little strips of paper that are all peeking from behind the flower pictures. Just there enough to accent the pictures, but hidden enough to not take your eyes away from the flowers."
Aruba Paper (35425) - Margarita, Havana Paper (35435) - Margarita, Merengue Paper (35438) - Margarita,Gee Whiz Paper (35383) - Peachy Keen, Good Golly Gee Paper (35375) - Peachy Keen, Glee Paper (35402) - Hello Sunshine, Paradise (42197) - Remarks, Summertime (42198) - Remarks, Dear Lizzy Enchanted Brads (85521) - Elements, Margarita Tags (85553) - Bits, Serenade Strawberry (53151) - Thickers, Marquise Rose (53026) - Thickers "This is a very special layout to me because it documents something very meaningful in my daughter's life. My daughter has to have speech therapy to help improve her speech (a year ago she barely spoke more than two words together at anytime, and they were extremely difficult to understand cause her pronunciation just wasn't there). And this is the wonderful speech therapist that helped our Creedence get to the place she is now. My daughter has developed so much vocabulary and the sounds are all there! I can't describe how much it means to be to be able to hear my daughter communicate exactly what she wants to say!"

Leafy (89289) - Ribbon, Dear Lizzy Enchanted Brads (85521) - Elements, Margarita Diamond Brads (85549) - Elements
"These little things are pretty straight forward! I desperately needed some cute things for my daughter's hair after she took the scissors to them just recently and gave herself some bangs. Laugh! I created these with some Field House felt pieces, and some pieces I cut out of some scrap felt, and pinned them together with some gorgeous brads. After that you fix them to some little hair clips, and you have some easy to make little pretties for your hair! Or even your sweaters (which is where I clip mine most of the time!)"
Here is a little interview Amy filled out for us:
How did you get started scrapbooking?
I got started in the spring of 2008, a little after my eldest daugher Creedence was born. Like many other scrapbookers out there, I really wanted to start documenting all the memories and photos from her first days. I went to the local craft store (I don't actually have a scrapbooking store around here!), and got some basics and just kind of played around for a while. Nothing actually got glued down for a good long while! Laugh! I started really getting serious a little bit before my first blog post in May 2008, and I have not stopped since then!
What would you say your scrapbooking “style” is?
This one is extremely difficult for me to pinpoint because I have no clue what my style is!! It changes so very much from layout to layout that I don't think I can really say. There are a few things about my "style" that are almost always present on my layouts though: I LOVE to cluster embellish, layer on my papers, and use my sewing machine.
What is your favorite technique?
Eeeps! This is another hard one, cause I don't really consider much of what I do super techniquey. I am really into paint splattering right now, so I will go with that!
When do you find time to scrap?
Laugh! My family freaks out about this a little bit, but my crafting time is from about 10:30pm to 3 am! It is extremely rare anymore for me to be able to do any crafting during the day, or even any scrappy related stuff online! I am always either holding the baby or running around with the Munchkin!
On average, how long does it take you to complete a project?
It truly can depend on the project, because I have been able to on a rare occasion do a layout in one day, or take up to a week to finish another. I really prefer when they go together super fast and easy, but let's face it - that doesn't happen a whole lot!
What is your favorite thing about American Crafts?
My first love of American Crafts is Thickers!!! I LOVE me some Thickers! I have a ton! Laugh! But I also really really love that American Crafts produces so many embellishments to go along with their paper collections. Even though I tend to mix most collections together, I really do like to be able to scrap all one collection at times. And having a huge selection of embellishments is essential!

The card is just a bunch of managing designed documents hit with various sized range hand techniques and then all made down, with a simple headline and a fun sparkle pin for depth.
