Maggie Holmes and Melanie Louette finish up the week with a mini layout, card, and album:
Maggie says, "It was fun creating projects with a 'mini' theme this month! I found that the layout and card came together so quickly because there was less space to work with! It is also a fun way to display a single photo that is smaller in size!
Supplies: Easy Peasy Paper (35382) - Peachy Keen, Easy As Pie Paper (35393) - Peachy Keen, Cool Cat Paper (35389) - Peachy Keen, Dreamy Violet Paper (35251) - Dear Lizzy Enchanted, Thing of Beauty Paper (35370) - Peachy Keen, Super Swell (42193) - Remarks, Twist (72008) - Delights, Swing (72003) - Delights, Dear Lizzy Enchanted Mini Pearl Brads (85519) - Elements, Pastels Medium Jewel Brads (85286) - Elements, Charcoal (6113) - Memory Markers
I cut one flower out of the Dear Lizzy die cut paper and I love how intricate and detailed it looks! The sticker became the perfect title for my page and gave me a great jumping off point for my journaling, that I wrote around the edges of the page to finish it off.
Next up is my card and again I love how quickly it came together. I took the button off of the pinwheel embellishment and added the sticker to the center of it. Then I punched some small butterflies and added some bling with the tiny rhinestones.
I’m thinking that I will keep doing some of these “mini” pages from now on and mix them right into my regular albums in between the larger 12x12 pages. It’s a fun way to change it up!!

Heat Tool (90502) - Zing!, Adhesive Dot Glue Runner (61713) - This to That
Melanie shares, "My son recently went to his first weeklong Cub Scout camp and I wanted to make him a little souvenir about his experiences - he had an amazing time! He has a small shelf above his bunk bed where he keeps his ‘treasures’ so a mini album was a good solution for that small space. To make the album, I cut recycled chipboard into 3x3” squares, stamped the front and back cover with the woodgrain stamp, and then embossed it with Chestnut Zing! to give it a rustic feel. I cropped and printed out my photos to the same 3x3” size, added the paper and embellishments (which could not have been more perfect for the theme!) and then just punched a hole through the corners. This little album was a blast to make and my son adores it."
Today marks the last day with projects from our 2010-2011 Contributing Design Team! We wish them the best and have enjoyed all of their talent! Next week we'll be starting with fresh new faces and projects from our 2011-2012 Contributing Design Team!

What great projects from Maggie and Mel! I will miss seeing their work here on the AC blog. Thanks for all the inspiration!

I'm not a huge fan of mini albums, but I LOVE this camping one. I want to make one for my grandsons with our pictures from our summer camping trip. It was fun (and a lot of work), but I'd do it all over again. Going shopping today, I guess! :) Thanks so much.
