Lilith Eeckels' canvases are always amazing and the one she's going to show us how to create today featuring mixing and matching lines is no exception!
Supplies: Sydney's Snapshot Paper (35688) - Sketchbook, 6x6 Paper Pad (35696) – Sketchbook, 6x6 Paper Pad (35658) – Neapolitan, 6x6 Paper Pad (35743) – Shoreline, Journal Black (53337) – Thickers, Scene Cascade (53341) – Thickers; Other: Font HaloHandletter, Silhouette Cameo, circle pattern
Step 1: Grab all your supplies. In addition to the American Crafts supplies listed above, you'll need a canvas, gesso, and water based varnish-glue.
Step 2: Prime your canvas using the gesso. Use an old credit card to apply it. Don't try to get it smooth; an uneven look adds a lot of interest. Leave it to dry for at least a couple of hours and even a day if you are patient!
Step 3: Choose different 6x6 papers and cut out the shape using a Silhouette. You could use dies and a die cutting machine and mix shapes if you don't have a Silhouette.
Step 4: Start assembling the different pieces. Glue them down using the varnish-glue. Add one or two layers of varnish over the top once you have finished adhering all the cut outs - this will protect the canvas and gives it a nice shine. For extra detail add some black India ink splatters.
Step 5: Add a quote. I used two different types of Thickers and also cut out part of the saying with my Cameo.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!
