American Crafts Design Team Call

We’re so very excited to announce the call for the American Crafts 2012-2013 Design Team!

We’re looking for talented and committed designers who love to create with AC products. To apply, please email contest@americancrafts.com with the following information:

1. A single paragraph telling us a little about yourself. When did you start scrapbooking? How would you define your style? What do you love about American Crafts products? Are you on any other design teams? Have you been published before? Be sure to include your name and hometown. Help us get a good sense of who you are and your paper crafting history. Please note that previous design team experience is not required.

2. A link to your online gallery and/or blog that shows samples of your various scrapbooking projects. If you have a scrapbook resume we would love to see that as well.

3. A scan or photo of 2 scrapbook pages, 1 card and 1 other type of project that shows your style and usage of American Crafts products. Please use at least 75% American Crafts products.

The deadline for all applications to be received is Friday, June 29, 2012. The individuals chosen to join the team will be notified via email and the new team will be announced here on the blog in early July. New design team members will serve for 1 year beginning in September 2012 and will be required to submit 3 monthly assignments. International applications are accepted and welcome!

Mix'n'Match Guest Designer: Michelle Lanning

Former American Crafts design team member, Michelle Lanning, is here again today to share her unique and colorful projects featuring mixing and matching!

Short bio: Hi there! Michelle Lanning here. I am a momma to an almost 8 year old, an avid crafter, a photography lover, as well as a first grade teacher.

How did you get started scrapbooking? I started scrapbooking right after the birth of my daughter. It quickly became an obsession, and really the rest is history. No matter how much time I have, I always find the time to craft. It is truly a stress reliever for me.

What is your favorite American Crafts product? Hmmm, this one is a hard one. I love the new things that American Crafts continuously comes out with, but my favorite is always, Thickers. There are so many styles to choose from. They are a must in my scrappy stash!
