Suzy Plantamura is always coming up with fun, new ideas! Her stitched layout and card are no exception:
I used a page out of the Amy Tangerine Sketchbook Day Book to make this card. I added some Copic coloring to the edges to blend the colors to match the circle in the center. I also added a scalloped sticker to the right side on the back of the card so the scallops went all the way around the card. I added some stitching with embroidery floss around the center using straight stitch and then added some french dots to the die-cut doily.

For this layout, I hand-doodled a favorite quote that went really well with all the Sketchbook camera embellishments. I wanted a doodled edge around my photo matte, so I used twine and straight stitched a doodled border. I also used twine to do a straight stitch around the outside edge of the layout. I then added some Copic marker inside all the stitching so it looked more shaded. Last, I added some machine stitching over my photo matte in white and turquoise to finish off the scallop border. Hand stitching and machine stitching go very well together to create a unique border!
