Former American Crafts Design Team member Caroline Ikeji is the Guest Designer for Lucky Charm week!

Short bio: Hi! My name is Caroline Ikeji and I am a 20-something living in the beautiful city of San Francisco. I get paid to eat chocolate and take photos, complain too much about the weather, own too many clothes, am permanently attached to my iPhone, and apparently get way too excited about Girl Scout cookies and avocados. When I'm not scrapbooking, I spend way too much time on Pinterest, am thinking about my next vacation/eating adventure should be, and am running off all that chocolate and Girl Scout cookies on the treadmill at the gym.

How did you get started scrapbooking? I'd been collecting stationery, stickers, and paper products since I was a little kid and scrapbooking was one of those things that I did on and off for awhile. It wasn't until 2005, when my mom bought me one of those paper stacks and I was super determined to use it, that I went online for inspiration and found a whole new world of scrapbooking. I've been hooked ever since and have never looked back.

What is your favorite American Crafts product? It's a tie between Thickers and Remarks sticker books!

YOU MAKE MY HEART SING by Caroline Ikeji

I love the look of the die cut cards, especially since I don't own a die cut machine. I added the patterned vellum underneath the words to add a subtle bit of pattern underneath and then added a heart patterned paper to highlight the word "heart." I did lots of layering on this one - I just kept adding little bits and pieces until I was satisfied with the look of the page.

HAPPY B*DAY by Caroline Ikeji

I needed a quick birthday card to send to my aunt and I had fun creating one out of these Lucky Charm goodies! I used a simple strip of paper along the bottom and this die cut star was the perfect accent. I finished it off with a few little chipboard bits and pieces.

SUNSHINE by Caroline Ikeji

I loved this chevron die-cut card so I played around with different bits of patterned paper under them. I layered some tiny accents over them, and did some layering around the photo as well. When I saw the "sunshine" chipboard, I knew that this was the photo I was going to use with it.

DREAM NOTEBOOK by Caroline Ikeji

The words and typography were inspired by a quote I saw on Pinterest. I wanted a place to gather my inspiration and jot down notes to work towards a goal I have in mind, so I decided to create this notebook using this quote.

LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL by Caroline Ikeji

I had fun mixing and matching Thickers for the title here. I loved the chevron pattern on one of the papers so I cut it out and used it as an accent on the page. I repeated lots of chevrons and arrows here.
