Summer is in full swing so let's see how to put some of those good times photos to good use on a layout by Gillian Nelson (Blog: Gillian Nelson | Instagram: @gnelson05 | Pinterest: @gilliann | Twitter: @GillianNelson05)
Supplies: Shimelle True Stories (370710) - Cappuccino Paper, (370719) - Berry Infusion Paper, (370721) - Orange Pekoe Paper, (370722) - Cinnamon Roll Paper; (370746) - Vellum Phrase; Amy Tangerine Rise & Shine (RSDS-70001) - Chloe Paper, (RSTH-70026) - Phrase Thickers; Dear Lizzy Fine & Dandy (370081) - Foiled Vellum; (370086) - Woodland Thickers; Thickers (TFOIL-53284) - Hardcover Foil; DIY Shop (366900) - Mini Stapler; Adhesive (AMF617-10) - This to That Foam Tab Squares; Pen (PP05-62321) - Precision Pen .05 Black; Cardstock (AM71-464) - Kraft 12x12
How to: Print journaling down the left border of an 8.5x11 piece of cardstock. Create a sun element by cutting a 5” circle and triangles out of assorted Shimelle True Stories patterned papers. Adhere the sun shape to the upper right area of the layout. Cut out a cloud shape from a different (and slightly subdued) piece of patterned paper and adhere it to the page, overlapping the sun. Add the photo, lining it up with the lower edge of the layout. Cut rain drop shapes from a sheet of foiled Fine & Dandy vellum and adhere the drops to the page with the wrong side up so that the foiled details appear grey and not gold. Outline the vellum shapes with a Precision Pen. Add a title using the Amy Tangerine Rise & Shine phrase Thickers. Finish with a True Stories vellum phrase strip layered over a strip of patterned paper to the upper left corner of the photo and some silver foil question mark Thickers scattered throughout the rain drops.
Lots more fun in the works for the rest of the week!
Great layout! Love the long journaling along the side down the page. Michelle t
