Name: Paige Taylor Evans
Hometown: South Pasadena, CA
Occupation: Copy/Creative Editor, receptionist, and soon-to-be mother
I love my husband because...he helps me. He helps me cook, clean, fold laundry, he even helped me cut and fold my project for this spotlight! He's sweet, caring, loving, and makes me feel like a queen.
My dream job would be... Let's be honest, my dream job was working at American Crafts. For 20 months I got paid to scrapbook, design scrapbooking supplies, and work with some super awesome people. No job will ever compare to that!
The best thing about where I live is... there is ALWAYS something going on. I feel like everything that has to do with entertainment is just 10 miles away in Los Angeles. There's never a dull moment in sunny SoCal!
When I was little...I wanted to be a veterinarian because I looooove animals (we currently have a dog, cat, rabbit, chinchilla, finch, and conure). But after I failed my first chemistry class in college I knew that wasn't the route for me. So then I got into the Art Education department and got my BA in teaching.
Next year...my life is going to be completely different. I'll be a stay-at-home-mom and I hear that takes up most of my time. I'm excited for the adventure and wish October 15th would be here NOW!
What I love the most about American Crafts is... they make EVERYTHING. Seriously. Cardstock? Check. Patterned paper? Check. Adhesive? Check. Albums? Check. Stamps? Check. Brads, buttons, stickers, rub ons, and lots of other embellishments in all their varieties? Check. And everything comes in super happy, bright, and fun colors :)
Paige comes up with the most unique and wonderful projects for paper and she's got another awesome one to share today...
Paige says: "Up until Monday I was undecided about what I want the theme/colors of
the nursery to be, even though I'd given it lots of thought. All I know
is we're having a boy. For my blog spotlight project I wanted to make
something, anything, for the nursery. I decided to make three paper
globes for the ceiling. I found the basic pattern on Heather Bailey's
blog (http://heatherbailey.typepad.
Super cool! I'm definitely inspired to make some of these myself. Now here's a bigger peek into where Paige goes to work. She says :"My scrapbook room is currently doubling as a guest room, but come August it'll be transformed into a nursery. I'm wondering how much I'll have to downsize my scrapbooking supplies to accommodate all of the furniture a baby requires!"
"This is my scrapbooking room. My heaven on earth. My fortress of solitude. My happy place."
"Here is the little desk in the corner where I scrapbook."
"I used to have all of my scrapbooking and craft supplies in plastic
bins, but they started turning yellow and were crushing under all the
weight. When we moved here to South Pas, I condensed all of my supplies
into these colorful boxes and bins that fit in this neat IKEA unit. All
my of my Thickers are stored in the five white bins on top. Yup, I have
a LOT of Thickers, they are simply the best."
"Before I left AC I purchased 50 sheets of every single color of
cardstock. They look so yummy all stacked together and it feels like
I'm in my very own local scrapbook store."
"This is what my scraproom looks like when I'm in the middle of a
project. You can't even seen the bed cuz it's covered in stuff. But I'm
one of those people that has to have things put away and clean before I
start on the next project, so it doesn't look like this for very long :)"
Thanks for the look into your bright and colorful life, Paige! We're lucky to have you and your creativity on the ACDT!

I used to have all of my scrapbook and art resources in nasty containers, but they began converting yellow colored and were bashing under all the events.
