The talent behind today's banner-themed tutorial is Cindy Tobey!
Supplies: Hello Sunshine Decorative Tags (85547) – Bits, Peachy Keen Decorative Tags (85543) – Bits, Peachy Keen Metal Rimmed Tags (85542) – Bits, City Park Decorative Tags (77244) – Bits, The Classics Decorative Tags (77246) – Bits, No Sweat Paper (35378) – Peachy Keen, Nifty Paper (35386) – Peachy Keen, My Darling Paper (35390) – Peachy Keen, Sunny Banana (53121) – Thickers; Other supplies: frame, twine, staples
Cindy declares, "I really love the banner trend that is just about everywhere right now and thought it would be fun to make a banner style 'welcome' décor piece to hang in my entryway."
Step 1. Gather your supplies. Select several tags to make into pennants for your banner. Trim the sides and bottom as shown to create your first tag pennant. Use this first pennant to trace onto the back of all your other tags and cut along your traced lines.
Step 2. Trim several 1” x 3” paper strips. Fold them each in half and adhere closed. Cut each of these into triangular pennants.
Step 3. Add small staples to pennants and a few round tags as shown to thread twine through.
Step 4. Add your banners to an empty frame by simply tying the twine right to the sides of the frame.
Step 5. Add “welcome” with foam Thickers to your pennants and that’s it! Your frame is ready to put on display!
I'm off to make one of these right now - join me in the fun?
