Cindy Tobey is going to show us how to make an adorable favorite photo wreath today!
"My project is a photo wreath that was inspired by a Card Wreath that I came across on the Martha Stewart website. The Amy Tangerine collection was perfect for this family-themed project and I love that I can swap these photos and embellishments out for new ones whenever I want!"
Supplies: Is It Any Wonder Adhesive Backed Paper (35556) – Amy Tangerine, You’re Golden Adhesive Backed Paper (35563) – Amy Tangerine, Daybook Die Cut Shapes (77288) – Amy Tangerine, Let’s Hang (78059) – Details, Live & Love (77257) – Patchems, Let’s Go (42215) – Remarks, Hi Friend (42214) – Remarks; Other: Embroidery hoop, clothes pins, twill tape, hot glue gun
1. Arrange clothes pins on an embroidery hoop to determine the spacing. Mark the hoop with a pencil where each clothespin will be added. I used an 8 ½" hoop with regular clothes pins spaced 2" apart. The top two clothes pins are spaced 3" apart to allow for the wide twill tape for hanging.
2. Cut strips of adhesive backed fabric paper to cover the tops of clothes pins. Add the fabric paper to the clothes pins. I left two clothes pins natural – no fabric paper.
3. Use hot glue (or wood glue) to add the clothes pins to the embroidery hoop.
4. Add ribbon or twill tape for hanging and that’s it! Your wreath is ready for photos and embellishing. Add items carefully to keep the clothespins in place.
Try using a larger hoop or mini clothespins.
Paint your hoop and clothes pins before covering them with fabric paper.
Skip the twill tape bow for a more rustic, simple look.
I think this is such a fun idea and cute to have in the home. It's great for families that take a lot of pictures, like us :)
