Short bio: My very first job when I was 16 years old (11 years ago
now) was at a local scrapbooking store in Redmond, WA called Yesterdays.
I've been addicted to scrapping ever since! Sometimes I think about
what my life would be like now if I hadn't walked in and asked for an
application (which they didn't have, they just took my phone number!)
because so much of my life has revolved around scrapbooking since
then... I work full-time from home for Northridge Publishing - we
publish the magazines Scrapbook Trends/CARDS/Simply Handmade/Bead
Trends/Cricut/Cricut Idea Books/Create: Idea Books, and then I also
have the fun and amazing job of being the American Crafts Blog
Hostess/Design Team Coordinator. Aside from scrapbooking I love spending
time with my husband of five years, Chris, playing with our
two-year-old son Fox and brand new baby girl Jane, and entertaining our
menagerie which consists of a dog, cat, and chinchilla. I love to create
on a daily basis and enjoy dabbling in everything from fine arts
(painting, drawing, sculpting, printmaking, etc.), to bookbinding,
basketweaving, photography, graphic design, and more!
Favorite thing to scrapbook: My family, especially Fox and Jane, and our many adventures living in SoCal.
Favorite AC product: Nope, I can't choose just one. I love EVERYTHING AC
makes. But okay, I'll play by the rules and choose patterned paper!
5 fun facts:
1. I'm from Seattle and Chris is from Denver but we were married in Illinois. We have a soft spot for Nauvoo.
2. I've eaten over 16,000 bowls of cereal in my life.
3. I know Morse Code.
4. My sewing machine is used solely for paper... one of these days maybe I'll run some fabric through it!
5. Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday so I'm super excited that my son has an October birthday! It was meant to be :)
I'm still loving the banner trend and had fun snipping and trimming papers from the Ready Set Go line that coordinated with these sweet photos of my son. And since Amy Tan is known for her stitching, I had a little fun paying tribute to her and her awesome scrapbooking lines by stitching a star around the journaling.
