Congrats to the winner of the 5th & Frolic line, Lindsay Lord Doucet:
I'm excited to introduce the 5th & Frolic Guest Designer, Cassandra Cyr:
Short bio: Hi, my name is Cassandra Cyr and I'm thrilled to be guest designing for American Crafts! I live in CT with my 2 year old son, Charlie, and my husband, Robb. I work full time as a Scientist and my husband is a Photographer, which coincides beautifully with my love of scrapbooking! When I'm not papercrafting I like to cook and catch up on TV shows (I love Breaking Bad, the Big Bang Theory, and Dexter!).
How did you get started scrapbooking? I first started scrapbooking 5 years ago when my husband and I were engaged; I wanted a way to document our relationship together that incorporated all of our funny stories and scrapbooking fit the bill!
What is your favorite American Crafts product? Thickers, of course!
SIMPLY ENCHANTING by Cassandra Cyr
I loved the green, aqua, and khaki colors in this collection, they worked perfectly with this photo of my son in the garden. I chose to sew strips of these colors together as the background for my title and photo.

LOVE THAT BOW TIE by Cassandra Cyr
These burlap bows are adorable as a feminine embellishment but they also work perfectly as little bow ties! To add emphasis to the bow tie photo I created a starbust that points to the main photo as well as added a few triangle arrows to the left of the photograph pointing to my son's bow tie.

2 PEAS(E) IN A POD by Cassandra Cyr
I love the "Little Moments Lane" paper, each polaroid frame is a perfect home to a little embellishment cluster! In case you are wondering about the title of this layout, my son's Great Grandpa's last name is Pease, so I thought the play on words for the title was just perfect :)

BUTTERFLY WREATH by Cassandra Cyr
I wanted to do an ombre wreath but to add an extra layer of dimension I also wanted gradations of size as well as colors. There are so many fantastic shades of pink in the 5th and Frolic collection that this wreath came together in no time at all!
