American Crafts Purchases Pink Paislee
Today American Crafts announces the purchase of craft and hobby wholesaler Pink Paislee. The change in ownership is effective immediately.
Pink Paislee, headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, is known for its beautifully designed paper lines, as well as a signature line by crafting celebrity Heidi Swapp. Jeff Mitchell, president of American Crafts, says Pink Paislee’s lineup of carefully crafted and designed paper products and embellishments appeal to a wide variety of scrapbookers, cardmakers, and crafters. “Pink Paislee has done an amazing job of making really inspiring products,” said Mitchell. “The company’s designs are pretty and feminine and have a strong appeal.” Rebecca Cross, CEO and creative director of Pink Paislee, says she’s excited about the acquisition. “American Crafts is the right company for us to partner with for greater exposure and continued growth. We’re really happy about joining American Crafts and taking Pink Paislee into the future.” Cross and Pink Paislee CFO Barry Cross will relocate to Utah and work at the Orem-based offices of American Crafts. The couple will continue to have an active role in the management of the Pink Paislee and Heidi Swapp brands. Heidi Swapp will also continue developing new products for her signature lines as well as educating and inspiring crafters to “make pretty stuff.” “I just love meeting new people, teaching them new techniques, and opening their eyes to what they can accomplish,” said Swapp. “American Crafts is a great home for the Pink Paislee and Heidi Swapp brands – I’m excited to see what comes next.” With the purchase of Pink Paislee, American Crafts is poised to provide retailers with more options than ever before – one of the widest ranges of start-to-finish crafting supplies available on the market. “This purchase lets us offer another strong collection of products to retailers. American Crafts, Pebbles, Crate Paper, Imaginisce, Project Life, Studio Calico, Pink Paislee, and Heidi Swapp are all brands that scrapbookers know and love,” said Mitchell. “We’re committed to keeping each brand distinct and focused on what made customers love them in the first place."
Super EXCITING news! I LOVE Pink Paislee too!!! Congratulations!!
Hugs,
Cheryl

This news makes me sad. Is American Crafts going to take over every small scrapbook business like Walmart did to all of its competitors???
Enough already!

i don't entirely agree with big companys taking over small ones but if the small company can no longer survive i would rather it go to a company like yours that will look after the people who create all these wonderful items we need to create our magic....thankyou

The quality of products produced by AC is a lot poorer since the acquisition of all theses companies, perhaps they should sort out these problems first.

AC should focus on improving the quality of current products and work on actually shipping the products that do manage to get to production. From the Summer CHA products that did get shipped they were obviously poorer quality than previous releases.
I'm so, so sad to see Pink Paislee go to AC, Pink Paislee was always a well run business with good customer service and quality products too bad that is about to change.
