Diana Waite (Blog: Diana Waite | Instagram: @dianawaite3 | Pinterest: @dianaw3) and Elizabeth Gardner (Blog: Elizabeth Gardner | Instagram: @myscrappylife | Pinterest: @elizgardner) are starting off this sure-to-be inspiring week!
Supplies: Neutrals (71252) - Cardstock, 12 x 12 Paper Pad (366665) - DIY Shop, 6 x 6 Paper Pad (366983) - DIY Shop, Cork Scene (53465) - Thickers, Chalkboard File Tabs (366610) - DIY Shop, Sequins (366609) - DIY Shop, Wood Venner Banners (366619) - DIY Shop, Cork Arrow Stickers (366631) - DIY Shop, Newsprint Tags (366639) - DIY Shop, Cork Star Stickers (366630) - DIY Shop, Solid Metallic Gold/Silver Washi Tape(366614) - DIY Shop, Black/White Washi Tape(366615) - DIY Shop, 2"Star (63114) - Paper Punch
How to: For a tone on tone affect for the cardstock I decided to cut my background design the same shade as the background itself, then I sewed around the edges.
Supplies: 6x6 Paper Pad (366983) DIY Shop, Ali Mistable White (53372) - Thicker, Large Pattern Brayer Set (366607) - DIY Shop, 2" Banner Punch (63117) - Punches, Sequins (36609) - DIY Shop, Wood Venner Butterflies (366618) - DIY Shop, Kraft Scallop
How to: I REALLY wanted to use the polka dot brayer to give a subtle background. I stamped with clear pigment ink, then embossed it with clear embossing powder to make the kraft banner shine! One other fun touch was that I covered the veneer butterflies with the gold patterned washi tape. After I ripped the washi tape into small pieces I placed the washi over the butterflies, making sure it was adhered well. After adhering I flipped it over and cut with a craft knife around the edges.
Supplies: 12x12 Value Pack (366665) - DIY Shop, 6x6 Paper Pad (366983) - DIY Shop, Sketchbook (331343) - Thickers, Chalklabels (366623) - DIY Shop, Die Cut Chalkboard Frames (366637) - DIY Shop, Chalkboard Tags (366608) - DIY Shop, Wooden Tags (366643) - DIY Shop, Kraft Tags (366640) - DIY Shop, Wood Veneer Butterflies (366618) - DIY Shop, Chalk Toothpick Pennants (366625) - DIY Shop, Wooden Clothespins (366620) - DIY Shop, Light Burlap Bows (366626) - DIY Shop, Cork Stickers (366631)
How to: Splatter in across the background sheet of patterned paper. Set aside to dry. Trim Cork patterned paper to 4x12 inches. Adhers this sheet at an angle on the background page. Place labels and embellishments. Place Thickers for title and then write journaling around this space on the tag. Place cork arrow stickers. Staple bottom left label and string to the kraft tag.
Supplies: 12x12 Paper Pad (366665) - DIY Shop, 6x6 Paper Pad (366983) - DIY Shop, Patterned Brayer Set (366606) - DIY Shop, Light Burlap Bows (366626) - DIY Shop, Chalk Labels (366623) - DIY Shop, Wooden Clothespins (366620) - DIY Shop, File Tabs (366610) - DIY Shop, Kraft Tags (366640) - DIY Shop, Chalk Toothpick Pennants (366625) - DIY Shop, Chalk Badges (366636) - DIY Shop, Wood Veneer Butterflies (366618) - DIY Shop, Decorative Tape (366615) - DIY Shop, Chalkboard Tags (366608) - DIY Shop, Diecut Chalkboard Frames (366637) - DIY Shop, Banner Stickers (366635) - DIY Shop, Sketchbook (331343) - Thickers, Shoebox (366637) - Thickers, Black .03 (62311) - Precision Pen, Aqua (27317) - Wow Glitter
How to: Roll mini heart brayer across ink pad and run it back and forth around the middle of patterned paper. Variations of light and dark ink are a plus. Splatter ink and allow to dry. Tear a strip of decorative tape and place at the top of the layout, folding excess over the edge of the page. Adhere chalkboard elements. Adhere 6x6 patterned papers. Fold corner of top paper over and staple twice. Cluster photo, kraft tag, clothespins and flags together. Adhere. Place burlap bows on top of clothespins and adhere. Adhere veneer butterflies. Write journaling. Pull top layer of Shoebox Thickers off and sprinkle liberally with glitter. Place the title.

FAB layout and FUN card Diana!!!
Very COOL layouts Elizabeth!!!
You have BOTH worked crafty magic with DIY Shop!!!
LOVE the colours and ALL of the elements, a BOLD but FUN and ELEGANT collection, the patterned brayers are pretty exciting too :)
ANYTHING that involves paper and crafting is my favourite, with my goal to make special cards for birthdays & all occasions for family & friends, not to buy any mass produced ones, so that they know how special they are to me. That being said, I have just started dipping my toes into mixed media and I'm keen to learn more using it for cards and OTP projects ... DIY Shop would be a perfect tool to help me with both my goals.
THANK YOU for the chance to win some CRAFTY AWESOMENESS :)
