Gillian Nelson (Blog: Gillian Nelson | Instagram: @gnelson05 | Pinterest: @gilliann | Twitter: @GillianNelson05) has our final 10+ patterned papers project and it's pretty stellar if I do say so myself!
Supplies: Be Merry (368917) - Let It Snow Paper, (368920) - Candy Cane Lane Paper, (368911) - Checking It Twice Paper, (368925) - Red Glitter Foam Thickers; DIY Shop (369024) - Gold Foil Dots on Black Paper, (369126) - Burlap with Large White Dots; Amy Tangerine Stitched (368947) - Repeat Paper, (368942) - Interlock Paper; Dear Lizzy Serendipity (369193) - With Love Paper, (369187) - One Fine Day Paper, (369189) - Lucky Love Paper, (369195) - Razzleberry Paper, (369194) - Odds & Ends Paper, (369208) - Woodgrain Print Chipboard Thickers, (369215) - Enamel Dots; Studio Calico Atlantic (331395) - Glitter Stickers Stars; Pens (PP03-62311) - Precision Pen .03 Point; Ink - StazOn by Tsukineko; Die Cut Machine- Silhouette Cameo
How to: Print photos in black & white and handcut them into triangles. Cut triangles from LOTS of different patterned papers and lay them out with the photos, forming a geometric tree shape that extends vertically over two stacked pieces of 12x12 cardstock. Ink the edges of all the triangles and adhere them to the cardstock sheets. Add journaling for the photos on each of the triangles with a grid pattern. Cut the word "Christmas" from another sheet of patterned paper using a die cut machine or a craft knife. Adhere the word underneath the last row of tree triangles. Trim a piece of DIY Shop polka dot burlap into a 2.5x4" rectangle. Adhere the burlap underneath the "Christmas" die cut, forming the "trunk" of the tree. Add Thickers to complete the title and finish off the design with enamel dots and a couple of glittered chipboard stars.
Have a great weekend! Happy crafting! We'll see you again on Monday!
