Recycle - Reduce - Reuse! This week we'll share some fun alternative solutions to throwing things away - up first is Gillian Nelson (Blog: Gillian Nelson | Instagram: @gnelson05 | Pinterest: @gilliann | Twitter: @GillianNelson05)
Supplies: Shimelle True Stories (370710) - Cappuccino Paper, (370707) - Espresso Paper, (370704) - Grey Floral Paper, (370743) - Die Cut Cardstock Shapes, (370729) - Hipster Multicolor Thickers, (370730) - Hipster Black Thickers, (370745) - Wood Buttons; DIY Shop (366900) - Mini Stapler; Pen (PP03-62311) - .03 Point Black Precision Pen
How to: Hand cut large letters from packing paper, add journaling and an outline with a marker to the letters, and adhere them to an 8.5x11 piece of Espresso paper from the True Stories line. Add a 4x6 photo. Add a hand cut oval from the Cappuccino paper to the remaining “O” without journaling. Embellish with True Stories die cut shapes, wood buttons, and Thickers. Add a strip of of the Grey Floral paper to the bottom border to finish.
Have you used packaging and other non-scrapbooking related materials in a creative way? We'd LOVE to see!
