Repetition of shape is one of my favorite design aesthetics. It creates so much movement and fun pops of color! In this layout everything revolves around circles, from the lollipop story to the bubbles of floating words at the top of the design. It's all about that shape! Shimelle's Starshine and Dear Lizzy's Happy Place were perfect for telling this story.
How to: 1. Using a 1-1/2" circle punch, cut 17 circles from a variety of patterns of the Shimelle Starshine collection. Also punch white circles in the same size and cut in half. 2. Attach white half circles to the patterned circles with a sewing machine. 3. Add text with rotary phrase stamps and adhere to the page in a random, overlapping pattern. 4. Cut a large pink circle from the Starshine Phoenix paper and place in the lower right side of the layout. 5. Cut and adhere "wonderful" saying from the Starshine Astro paper. 6. Place the die cut title above the block of text and add hanging suede tassels. 7. Last, place two acrylic clouds in a cluster among the circles at the top of the layout.
Very cute page - love the circles with half text/half pattern.
