My goodness does time fly! This year just began and it’s already time to get ready for the Easter Bunny. I may be feeling that way because I have a slew of Easter photos from last year that I haven’t even scrapped yet, so I was thrilled to get my hands on the new Hello Spring mini collection from American Crafts to make some candy colored layouts!
I wanted this particular layout to look like a spring garden had overtaken the photos and I love how simple it was to use all those gorgeous flower and butterfly stickers to make that intention a reality.
I started with a very uniform grid layout with two 4x4 inch photos and two journal cards. In order to give it a more organic, country feel, I added stitching to the base paper and the photos and crimped the edges of my white paper.
At this point it was all about the stickers and I began layering them in clusters around the layout. I popped some off the page with dimensional adhesive and tried to create some movement with the positioning of the butterflies. And of course, I had to get that adorable little Easter Bunny hiding his eggs down in the far right corner.
As a finishing touch I added two hand written word stickers to the layout from the lovely and coordinating Hazelwood Collection by American Crafts + 1canoe2.
This bright and fresh little collection really made my Easter photos shine and I know it will do the same for yours.
Happy Easter Crafting!
