LINDON, Utah – October 6 – American Crafts announces the purchase of crafting wholesaler BoBunny Press. The move ensures the immediate and ongoing delivery of BoBunny brand papercrafting products to retailers and crafters.
Jan Lanoy founded BoBunny in 1996 in Layton, Utah. Joined by her husband Don and son Matthew, the Lanoys built a team of designers, salespeople and logistics professionals to the point the brand is now offered in more than 40 countries.
Featuring its signature vintage style, BoBunny’s offering includes papers, stickers, embellishments, stamps and more – a range that’s become a mainstay in crafting stores. As part of the acquisition, the BoBunny design team will join American Crafts and continue creating BoBunny’s beloved product line.
Wayne Mitchell, CEO of American Crafts, says BoBunny has built a devoted following thanks in large part to its strong design aesthetic.
“The Lanoys have established a wonderful brand that resonates with crafters around the world,” says Mitchell. “They have tirelessly helped to build the industry, and American Crafts is proud to continue their legacy by offering BoBunny products to the craft market.”
Jan, who started BoBunny at the urging of her sister, says she’s pleased that the BoBunny brand will continue with American Crafts.
“It’s bittersweet to say goodbye to the industry, the store owners and the friends that we’ve made over the years, ” says Jan. “But with me retiring, I wanted to make sure that crafters could continue to enjoy BoBunny for years to come. I have confidence that American Crafts will do a great job of making sure that happens.”
With the purchase of BoBunny, American Crafts will continue to provide retailers with an ever growing range of crafting, DIY, scrapbooking, mixed media and stamping options.
Mitchell says that BoBunny’s current line of product will immediately continue shipping from American Crafts and that new products will be developed for release. “We are committed to BoBunny’s long-term success. We will keep striving to provide retailers and crafters with the variety and selection of products that inspire and enable their individual pursuits.”
American Crafts has created innovative products since the early 1990s. The company has established itself as a leader in the industry by providing stylish, high-quality products, variety, and responsive customer service. In addition to designer patterned paper, American Crafts produces Thickers, Bazzill Cardstock, WeR Memory Keeper tools, DCWV Stacks, and other crafting staples that always rank as customers’ favorites. The company also releases products under the popular Heidi Swapp, Crate Paper, Pebbles, Pink Paislee, Project Life, and Jane Davenport brands, among others.

I hope the quality and the great designs continue as BoBunny.

Please, please don’t ruin the uniqueness of BoBunny and their beautiful designs and the generous 36 sheet paper pads and their assortment of embellishments. Many of the other brands you have purchased have lost their unique appeal. You may be big like a box store, but it doesn’t make you better.

Debi, yes, the BoBunny design team will continue to produce the lines you know and love. And the quality will continue as it has been! Thanks for your business.

Hmmm. Not so happy about this. After AC bought Bazzill, the card stock doesn't seem to be the same. It WAS my favorite brand, but now... :(

First, congratulations to Jan on her retirement. I have every faith that AC will maintain the BoBunny quality we’ve all grown accustomed to. I hope crafters will give them the benefit of the doubt. Exciting times I can’t wait to see what develops from this acquisition!
