Hello everyone! It’s Zinia here and today I’d like to share with you an interactive layout I created using the Shine On collection by Amy Tangerine and the We R Memory Keepers Mini Envelope Punch Board.
The main idea for this page is to create a huge cluster of overlapping mini envelopes and then add a few embellishments around them. I really wanted to include many envelopes on this layout cause I wanted to keep a lot of memorabilia. This design is perfect if you have a lot of bits and pieces you want to add on your page or even for multi-photo pages.
Interactive layouts are especially fun to kids when they flip through your scrapbook albums and the whole envelope concept is adding a feeling of discovery.
Since the patterns I picked for my envelopes are very bright and colorful I chose a very light pink cardstock for my base. You can create your envelopes are small or as big as you like depending on how many of them you want to have on you page or the size of your memorabilia.
For my layout I created 3x4 inch envelopes using my mini envelope punch board. You can totally use your normal envelope punch board but ever since I got this mini beauty I love using it as it’s so small and light and the little notches it cuts compared to the normal punch board make perfect small sized envelopes.
Once all of my little envelopes were punched and folded, I randomly arranged them on my page. I tweaked them around till I was happy with the arrangement and then I added some embellishments between them. I went ahead and fussy cut a few floral clusters from the patter papers of the Shine On collection and I also used a huge flower image from the card kit.
I really wanted to add a variety of materials for my embellishments so I stuck a couple of inflated hearts and suede emblements to give that extra interest.
All that’s left to do is fill the envelopes with photos, memorabilia and anything else you want to document on your page.
