Hi, American Crafts fans! Its Bea here and I have a fun fall decor project to share with you today! We all have beautiful paper left over from a variety of projects. For this project, I used leftovers from the fabulous Slice of Life collection by Amy Tangerine. To stick with a fall theme, I decided to create a pumpkin garland. Each pumpkin has a unique color and pattern. Although the patterned paper is not traditional fall colors, it still works because I’ve grouped them together with die cut leaves and attached them with black and white bakers twine.
I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the base of the tiny pumpkins from patterned paper. To make the tiny pumpkins even more pretty, I added a stem and green leaves to them. I attached the leaves to the top of the pumpkin using a brad. Easy – peasy!
If you don’t have cutting machine, simply trim paper strips and attach them on both the top and the bottom with brads. You could also use a piece of pipe cleaner to keep the pumpkin together, as well as create a stem. I would recommend making only half pumpkins. That way, they will look better when hanging on the wall.
When you are ready with the pumpkins, connect them using baker's twine and place pressed fall leaves or die cut leaves between them.
This pumpkin garland is the perfect DIY home decor. It is so easy and fun to create! It is also the perfect project to complete with children. Thank you for stopping by today! I hope that I have added another idea to your list for using some of those precious scraps.
