Hello crafty friends, it’s Lucile! I hope you love today's blog post! I love to send cards to my friends and family and wanted to show you how to easy it is to make cards with boxed card sets. For today's project, I used the cards from Shimelle's Never Grow up collection. I'm going to show you that you can easily customize a plain card to make it unique!
The first card I used already had a "thank you" message printed on the front. I started by sewing around the circle to add some texture to my card. I use white thread to keep the color scheme consistent. I love to combine scrapbooking and sewing! For the decoration I wanted to stay in the same theme as the card I chose, so I decided to add flowers. I used the floral die cuts and the puffy stickers from Shimelle's collection. For the die cuts, I cut the flowers and the leaves so that white was only present in the center of the card.
Finally, I added a sticker with a banner. I glued it with a 3D foam to add volume to my card. I also used a few puffy stickers as an added embellishment.
The second card I used did not have a message already printed on, just a pattern. I wanted my customization to break the diagonal lines of the background. I started by drawing a line in the center of my page. I used stickers with different colored words to the center of the card. Finally, I sewed over my labels following the line that I had drawn. I used a white thread to bring clarity to my card.
Finally, I added flowers and puffy stickers as a finishing touch.
I hope these cards gave you some ideas on how to use the Shimelle Never Grow Up boxed cards. See you soon!
